Happy 2010! Just seeing the number of our new year is hard to believe. When I was born in 1957 and had dinosaurs for pets, I'm sure people thought in 2010 we would be getting around in hovercrafts by now. They probably imagined a space age life right out of "The Jetsons" or a science fiction film. Fifty years ago, I'm sure it felt like this year was so far in the future it would never arrive. Just the sound of 2010 sounds so, ... futuristic.
Believe it or not, 2010 is here. The future is here and now. We have every reason to celebrate our future with this brand new year and a brand new start.
We had a family party to ring in 2010. No new years eve party is complete without a fireworks extravaganza. It's always fun and funny to watch Richard light up the night sky with all the brilliant explosions. He's our "Master Blaster".
Lets hope this next year is a year to remember. A year of good times, fun and family, and lots of great memories.
Here's to 2010 ... (lots of loud booms and colorful explosions inserted here) Happy New Year!
